So many people are into the Gluten Free eating. You kind of wonder if it’s really gluten or the chemicals that are being sprayed on food crops. Either way here is a great recipe for you to try out to make your very own Gluten Free Flour for all your baking and cooking needs.
By making it yourself you know that your flour not only is gluten free, but that it is organic too with no fillers or artificial anything. In the USA the FDA is loosening up regulations as to labeling and many times there are fillers inside products. We all have to start making healthier eating choices. Many will also contain chemicals as a preservative for longer shelf life. Making products on your own may take a few extra minutes out of your busy schedule but the results will be well worth it.
Gluten Free Flour Blend Recipe

Make your own gluten free flour blend and save money
- 1 1/4 cups chickpea flour
- 1 cup brown rice flour
- 1 cup tapioca starch
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Himalayan sea salt
- 1 tsp xanthin gum OR guar gum per cup of flour
- 1/2 tsp xanthin gum OR guar gum per cup of flour
mix basic ingredients together
INCREASE OTHER INGREDIENTS
For a lighter dough - increase baking powder OR baking soda by 25%
Need more moisture - depending on your recipe - increase vegan butter or oil, or add fruit or use brown sugar rather than white sugar
Additional flavor - increase sugar, spices and vanilla
Required yeast - double the amount of yeast
