Vegan Cashew Cheese Sauce

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Place cashews in a bowl and cover with water for 2 hours. If you use HOT boiling water, 1 hour is good.

  2. Drain and rinse thoroughly

  3. Place soaked cashews in food processor with the water, garlic, salt and nutritional yeast.  Puree until very very smooth.  Thin out with more water until you get the consistency you want.

  4. Store in refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze

OPTIONAL
  1. Add extra ingredients to change the flavor. pesto, peppers, chili

  2. DO NOT SOAK CASHEWS OVERNIGHT --- the texture gets watery and chunky.  It should stay smooth and creamy
